The 'new' lighthouse at Dungeness. I visited last Sunday, ostensibly to take shots of boats and the beach. For one reason or the other, though, I ended up exploring instead. I originally cropped out the cars but the result looked off kilter so I've left them in and I'm sticking with the old adage 'for a sense of scale'!

Very nice, a great blue sky. I don’t find the cars distracting at all the white post on the right at the bottom is a bit but not too much. Makes me feel like i should get out more and take photos

Stunning photograph with great black and white contrast

Thanks for stopping by, Martin. I spent so long pondering the cars that I totally overlooked that pole. With hindsight, it would have been prudent to darken it a tad. And yes, get out there more; go crazy and forget about the course results

Thanks Gordon; it’s always heartening when folks take the time to comment. I visited, primarily, to photograph Derek Jarman’s place, the boats and anything other than the lighthouse but events conspired against me.
