The Tawny Owl (Strix aluco) is Britain's most common woodland owl (although it isn't found in Ireland). The plumage is mainly reddish brown with pale dappling underneath; perfect camouflage for roosting in trees during the daytime. The hooked beak is a greenish-yellow and the eyes are black. 3. So thats what they look like. I have a pair that roost or hunt from the Beech trees outside my house, and they call to each other most nights. The nerd in me is trying to work out from the colour and the bokeh whether you used the 100-400 or the 24-105. Because of the subject one would have thought the 100-400, but I’ll go for the 24-105.
