Male 'Black-tailed Skimmer' (Orthetrum cancellatum); it's the first dragonfly that I've seen this Summer.

  1. Very nice. Where did you take this and did you use extension tubes with your 100-400 or was it with the lens alone.

  2. I took this at Leonardslee, in Sussex with just the lens (no extras). I wasn’t expecting to see this chap so it’s a bit of a grab shot but I’m determined to improve before the Summer ends.
