Some time ago, when viewing a landscape photo on Flickr, I noticed that one of the commenters had asked 'what the point was' in taking the photo. The photographer had simply responded with 'it is what it is' and I knew just what he meant.

Sometimes my photos will be purely a record of time, hopefully well spent. This is such a photo ... it is what it is ... a view of the tiny Isle of Filfla from Dingli Cliffs.

(Filfla is the small blue rectangle, just left of mid centre).
