But the cathedral’s different, cold, incense laden, faint blue with the veils of madonnas. - Blue & Green (Virginia Woolf).

As it rained all weekend, I thought I'd have a go at photographing smoke trails. I'd not tried it before but had read a little about the subject. It was harder to do than I'd imagined but great fun, all the same. Despite the sound advice to use a tripod, I didn't (thinking, who's heard of sharp smoke anyway?) but, with hindsight, I wish that I had! (Bangs head on desk).
