Male 'Large White' (Pieris brassicae) butterfly on Common Knapweed. Not quite sharp enough for my liking but it reminds me of the film 'Legend' (before the snowstorm). So it stays ;)
Lovely back(and fore)ground colours and details, quite magical! I assume 9 August was when it was taken rather than posted ( I haven’t noticed it was up on your site until today), because coincidentally, today, I posted a Small White.

TY David. I uploaded this to my my local server on 9th August but didn’t publish it (because I wasn’t happy with it) then promptly forgot all about it. I only noticed when I put up my subsequent shot.
