Apparently, yellow chrysanthemums represent slighted love. K brought these home to me on Friday but I'm fairly certain that in his world, 'the meaning of flowers' is a totally alien concept. That's all right then.

  1. The colour on that is glorious. Is it au natural or photoshopped?

PS Why not add the lens you’re using for each pic as well.

  2. Hi Captain.

I used an anglepoise lamp, which boosted the colour, then I adjusted the levels in Photoshop. I rarely change the ‘hue and saturation’ as (for me, at least) it creates a lot of noticable noise. The anglepoise light has, unfortunately, rather muted the sharpness on the right but, I can just about live with that. The flowers were really a wonderful yellow ‘au naturel’ and they are still going strong two weeks later.

With regard to the lenses I, currently, only use two (the 55-200mm or the 60mm). If the exif data states 60mm, then it’s the macro :)
