The post windmill on Reigate Heath was built circa 1765 and it was in use as a working mill for the next one hundred years. In 1880 the roundhouse (of the then disused mill) was converted into a Chapel of Ease to St Mary's Parish Church and it is thought to be the only windmill in the world to have been consecrated as a place of worship.
I shot this last year with the Finepix Z1, which is basically a 'point & click' compact. The original was a tad jagged and I was going to delete it today but, as I rather liked the composition, I thought I'd try and soften it up with a painterly feel in Photoshop instead.

Nice. This looks like a place I want to visit some day.
