Winkworth Arboretum. Taken from under the tree for more light and contrast. I've accentuated it here but I shot this as I liked the impressionist effect created by the wind.

  1. Thats lovely Mo. Fantastic colours and light. Did you use a filter in processing? It looks quite painterly it an impressionist sort of way.

  2. Thanks, David. I shot this thinking that I could work with the wind (via processing) using the Orton Effect. What I did was this:

    Made two layers from the background.

    Applied a screen blending layer to the top layer, then merged that down to the second layer.

    Duplicated the second layer to make a third layer.

    Applied Gaussian blur (20px on the original) third layer and then used the multiply blend mode.
